In addition, her stage credits include the well-known Broadway plays "Angels in America" and "God of Carnage.. Marcia Gay Harden was born in San Diego, California on 14 August 1959. She was the daughter of Beverly who was a housewife, and Thad, an officer in the US Navy. She is the mother of three sisters. Due to her father's work as diplomat, the family moved around the world and lived in various countries like Germany, Japan and Greece. Harden was a student at Surrattsville High School in Clinton after settling down in Maryland. In 1980, the student attended the University of Texas at Austin and earned a bachelor's in theater. Harden was accepted into NYU's Tisch School of the Arts 1988 in order to earn her MFA.
