Meagan Good's maternal grandmother Tyra was just a teenager when she worked for Panorama City as a manager and father Leondis Leon Good, a policeman with the LAPD. Her family consisted of three siblings within Canyon Country California, and began her acting career at the age of four. While working in T.V. and in films she was the lead character Mya in the multi-starring Think Like a Man and Ms. Stevens in Dysfunctional Friends. Killmer was a student at Baylor University Waco Texas. There she received an B.F.A. Degree in performing arts which she received in 2010. Her acting career began in 2010, when she appeared in the web-series Simon Fuller's If I Can Dream. Kara Killmer debuted on screen after appearing in numerous local productions in Simon Fuller's series on Hulu If I Can Dream pilot in 2010. The show's focus was on the group of people who began to live together in California, Hollywood.
